The Teams
There are three senior teams playing league cricket on Saturdays - the Firsts, Seconds and Thirds playing in the Fuller's Brewery Surrey County League in the 2008 season. When availability permits we also try to run a Saturday 4th XI side playing friendly fixtures.
There is also a Sunday 1st XI which plays friendlies against local teams and a Sunday 2nd XI, which gives older colts a chance to play alongside seniors in friendly Sunday afternoon cricket.
Colts sides are run at all ages (i.e. under 15, under 14, under 13, under 12, under 11, under 10 and under 9 levels) in the East Surrey Colts League. For 2008 we also intend to run a under 16 XI in the East Surrey Colts league. The club attained ECB ClubMark accreditation during 2007, and has recently been accepted to become a Focus Club within Surrey.
We welcome players of all abilities. Please note that while overseas players are welcome at the club they are asked to pay subscriptions and match fees at normal Club rates.
Nets for the senior sides are normally held at the ground on Wednesdays at 6.30pm throughout the summer, and for Colts on Mondays (U14/U15), Tuesdays (U9/U10/U11) Thursdays (U12/U13/U16) from 6pm.
The Social Side
The main ground is one of the most attractive in Surrey (ever seen the 1982 BBC play 'Outside Edge' - the ground will look familiar!), and provides the perfect backdrop for playing cricket.
Regular social events include Quiz Nights, an annual Barbeque, a Cricket Week during August and an end of season Dinner Dance and Presentations Evening.
