Woodmansterne Cricket Club is a friendly club in Woodmansterne, Surrey. We offer adult and junior cricket as well as a lively social calendar. We have ECBClubMark accreditation, are one of forty-five Focus Clubs in Surrey, and we benefit from two picturesque and well-maintained pitches, a pleasant clubhouse and excellent changing facilities. We welcome new members, both adults and juniors: please contact one of our Club officers for details.
We run three league teams on a Saturday, with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd XIs playing in the Fullers Brewery Surrey County League, The Saturday 4th XI play friendly matches, there are two friendly teams on a Sunday, and a 20-20 side plays evening games mid-week.
We run colts sides for under 9s up to under 17s in the East Surrey Colts League. Girls are welcome to play at all levels. Please see our statement on junior cricket and welfare below.
To help young players transition from junior to adult level, we enter a
team on Sundays into the Surrey Development League, giving young players the
opportunity to develop skills and confidence alongside senior cricketers.

Woodmansterne CC fully support the commitment of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) to ensure that all children involved in cricket have a positive and safe experience. All our coaches are ECB qualified; this includes the Safeguarding Children module, are CRB checked and fully support the ECB Code of Conduct. We have in excess of 120 colts, and each year group has at team of manager and at least one coach dedicated to providing a safe, positive and fun environment for the colts to enjoy cricket. 'Woods' colts are treated as individuals, fair play is promoted and the welfare of each colt is placed before winning or achieving goals.

The ECB continues to work with Sport England on the pioneering club accreditation scheme 'Clubmark' to develop a vibrant and healthy club cricket infrastructure.
Cricket clubs can play a key role in the successful delivery of Building Partnerships – cricket's strategic plan for 2006-2009 - by supporting the delivery and implementation of the following programmes:
The ECB Clubmark and community cricket clubs play a central role in all of these programmes and Clubmark will provide the standards that clubs involved in these programmes will aspire to.
In addition, it is expected that clubs who achieve the ECB Clubmark will be recognised and rewarded for their hard work and commitment to club cricket in England and Wales.
By registering to work towards ECB Clubmark, clubs join a growing number of cricket clubs across England and Wales that are prioritising junior development, creating a benchmark for high quality community club cricket.

ECB Clubmark gives clubs an opportunity to write and implement new procedures as well as acknowledge existing practices. Cricket clubs are required to present evidence and demonstrate implementation across four different themes, culminating in the production of a Club Development Plan.
